M.Sc. (Engineering), from DTU. Lecturer at the Institute of Electromagnetism, DTU, including eight years as head of the institute, in charge of externally funded R&D assignments. Development engineer at Microwave Associates Ltd, UK. Divisional manager at Chr. Rovsing A/S af 1984. Research director for Tele Danmark Research until 1997. At DTU since 1997, involved in the establishment of the MMT Program. Chairman of the National Research Council for Technology and Science (1983–91). Chairman of the committee concerning Danish space research (1992–95) and a member of the board of Denmark's Basic Research Foundation (1991–99).

Head of program for MMT, lecturer, M.A. and visiting professor at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. Has worked as a manager for TDC in positions including head of section in Tele Danmark R&D and business development manager for TDC Erhverv. program manager for Telekom Malaysia’s Senior Management Development program, 2003–2007. Associated with France Télécom (CNET, Issy-les-Moulineaux) in Paris, 1992–93. Areas of research: innovation, international business development and outsourcing. Member of Telenor R&D Research prize committee.

Per Langaa Jensen · Leadership & Organisational Innovation

Professor at the Institute for Production and Corporate Management at DTU. Involved over the years in many activities relating to the development of training and research, most recently in developing DTU’s research and training in production and corporate management. Has conducted research relating to technological development and working conditions, with a focus on how to take employee working conditions into account when planning technological changes. Broad educational experience from many teaching activities in companies, professional organisations, etc.

Peter Bruun · Strategy and Corporate Entrepreneurship

Professor, M.Sc. (Civil Engineering) and B.A. (Business Administration, Accounting). Head of program and Faculty Director associated with the TEM Centre’s executive programs, CEL™ and MMT. Fifteen years’ experience in the advisory and consulting sector with technical/financial consultancy and business analyses in Denmark and abroad, development tasks, strategy presentations and corporate acquisitions, as well as competency development in a service enterprise. Affiliated with the TEM Centre since 1997 as a professor in production and corporate management. Board member of the International Federation of Production Research, European Academy for Industrial Management, etc. Areas of research: corporate entrepreneurship, strategic innovation and the potential of globalisation in relation to innovation and business creation.

Søren Salomo · Innovation

Professor for Innovation Management at DTU. Dipl-Kfm. (MBA) and D.Sc. (Political Science) from Christian-Albrechts University, Kiel, Germany. Previous research and teaching positions at Technical University Berlin, Universidad de Alaclá, Spain, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, Graz University, Austria among others. Experience from German and international banks and oil companies, as well as his own consulting firm in areas such as corporate analysis and innovation management. His research interests cover management of radical innovation, teams and innovator roles, design and innovation, and innovation portfolio management. He has published articles in the areas of innovation and technology management, corporate governance, and corporate analysis and accounting.

M.S.c (Business Administration), Acting Director of DTU Business, Program Director for CEL™ (Corporate Entrepreneurship). CE experience spans new product development, commercialization of new technologies, corporate venturing, M&A and new business development. 17 years with TDC, the international Danish telecoms operator, in positions as VP of international wholesale markets, Director for 3G/Mobile Broadband, Head of product develop- ment, Investment Director for Corporate Ventures, Strategy Director, and Head of mobile consumer marketing and products. Previously 3 years with Statoil as retail business manager. Experience from board positions in 4 IT start-up companies of which 2 were lead to successful exits.

Zoran Perunovic· PhD, Assistant Professor | Internationaization

Ph.D. from DTU (Outsourcing), B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Management) from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Has worked as consultant in market research at the Institute of Transportation, and in innovation infrastructure development for the Serbian and Danish governments. Has also worked as the assistant director at the Business School, University of Applied Sciences in Belgrade. Zoran has been teaching entrepreneurship and outsourcing at several European and American universities. Appears in Marquis Who is Who in the World 2007.

Ying Li · PhD, Assistant Professor

Dr. Ying Li is an assistant professor at DTU Business. Ying holds a PhD in innovation management at Hasselt University (Belgium) and an LL.M degree in Business Law at Groningen University (the Netherlands). Yings research interests include Open Innovation, alliances, user-driven innovation and governance, and technology transfer. Besides his research activities, Ying also has experiences in venture capital and consulting in technology transfer for small and medium sized companies.

Marie Smed · PhD Student

Cand. Merc. (International Marketing and Management) from Copenhagen Business School and M.Sc (Global Politics) from Southampton University, UK. Started her Ph.D. at DTU Business in 2009 in the subject of innovation management within the Pharmaceutical Industry. Her research interests include product innovativeness, coopetition, mergers and acquisitions as well as political and societal influence on new product development.

Managing Partner, Kates Kesler Organization Consulting, an organization design and development consulting firm based in New York City. Amy helps leaders of global companies to align their organization with their strategy. She is the author, with Jay Galbraith, of the book "Designing Your Organization" (published by Jossey-Bass). Annette Juhler Kjær · Media, People & Communications

Annette Juhler Kjær is an expert in Public Affairs, communication and media handling. AJK runs her own consultant company; Juhlers com, since summer 2007. Beforehand AJK was the Personal Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister in Denmark; Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Bendt Bendtsen from 2005 to 2007. As an experienced journalist AJK has been anchoring the news on both of the two national networks in Denmark, DR TV and TV2 and has been hosting several programs, covering elections, royal weddings, TV-debates etc. in the period 1988 to 2005 - the last three years hosting her own evening talkshow on TV2. Interrupted by a period of three years, where she was Head of Communication Worldwide for Danisco and two years as Senior Consultant at Jøp, Ove & Myrthu.

Positions: Training manager for Ludvigsen & Herman A/S; management development consultant for providing executive management training at the Danish School of Public Administration; consultant for Mercuri Urval A/S. Since 1996, owner of Sander Konsulentfirma ApS: executive development, sparring for management teams, team development, organisational development, coaching, recruitment, lecturing, courses, etc. International experience in management training, and author of a number of technical books.

Bart Clarysse · Innovation Management

Bart Clarysse holds the Chair in Entrepreneurship at Imperial College London Business School. Bart joined the Business School’s Entrepreneurship Hub in 2007 from Nottingham University business school and Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School where he taught innovation and technology management, entrepreneurial marketing and entrepreneurship. He is a founder of several high tech start-ups in businesses such as digital cinema, mobile internet and venture incubation.

Following his Phd studies, Bart was an advisor in technology policy at the European Commission and he still consults on innovation and technology matters for various European governments and agencies. He is founding partner of Inceptum, a company that offers support to build a business plan out of an initial idea; and he sits on the board of Siruna, a mobile internet start-up. He also is an advisor in innovation policy to the Flemish Government, the Belgian Government and European Commission. He has over 50 publications in the field of high tech start-ups and managing growth of these companies and has been an executive teacher for several multinationals such as KLM, Belgacom, Recticel, USG People, Johnson&Johnson in corporate venturing and innovative turnaround strategies.


His on-going research interests include the analysis of acquisition decisions by established companies to enter new technological domain or adjacent markets. He analysis the growth strategies of technology ventures in adjacent markets and the valuation patterns of these ventures.

Burghardt Tenderich is the Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at UC Berkeley's College of Engineering. Dr. Tenderich has 20 years of experience in technology marketing within the IT and Internet industries. He is the founding partner of a social media publishing and consulting firm and has held various management positions. Burghardt Tenderich holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geography from the University of Bonn.

Finn Kollerup · Innovation

M.Sc. (Chemical Engineering) followed by a Ph.D. (Biotechnology) and an M.B.A. (Innovation). Affiliated with Novozymes for many years, first as a researcher and subsequently as head of section. Obtained his Ph.D. from Queens University, Canada, and has done post doctoral work in New Zealand. Has also been seconded by Novo to Japan and most recently served as an innovation anchor at Novozymes before devoting all his efforts to his business Alt4Kreativ A/S. Author of the books “Innovation for ildsjæle og vandbærere” (Innovation for Enthusiasts and Water Carriers) and “God innovationsledelse” (Good Innovation Management), both published by Børsens Forlag. Also co-author of the book “Instant Innovation Technology”, (written in thirty hours).

Dr. Gita Surie (Associate Professor, Adelphi University and Senior Fellow, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania) researches globalization and multinational corporations, technological innovation and the global innovation system, entrepreneurs- hip and ethics. Her latest book is "Knowledge, Organizational Evolution, and Market Creation – The Globalization of Indian Firms from Steel to Software".

Hanne Danielsen · Media, People & Communications

Hanne has diplomas in Psychology and French from Copenhagen University, followed by several courses on Strategy and Management. Graduated in 2009 with an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School. Hanne has worked as a Freelance journalist and later as a journalist, editor and producer for Nordisk Film and DR. From 2000-2004 Hanne was Vice President and CEO at Strix Television Denmark, Norway and Sweden and following CEO at TV2 World A/S and TV2 New Business Areas from 2005 - 2008. In 2008 Hanne was co-founder of Story Farm, which is a production and communications company offering, amongst others, consultancy on Dynamic People Management with the aim of leading creative and multicultural organisations and development of cultures with a high level of team spirit.

After graduation worked with Market Research at AIM/Nielsen for 4 years. Then joined DDB Needham Advertising Ageny as Director and Partner from 1988-2002. In that time period the Agency grew from 12 to 250 people and a turnower of Dkk. 275 mio. From 2002 to 2005 worked as Director and Partner at Saatchi&Saatchi Advertising. Has advised clients such as Coca-Cola zero (104 markets), VW, Audi, Novo Nordisk, Coloplast, Carlsberg, Astra-Zeneca.

Sverre Riis Christensen · Market Research

Sverre Riis Christensen graduated in 1974 from Copenhagen Business School as MSc (cand. merc.). He has extensive experience in using market research for decision support both as a marketing manager and marketing director. Sverre Riis Christensen has worked with market research both in B2B environments and in B2C environments. His marketing and business experience covers FMCG, department store marketing and management, web site and e-business consulting, and PR and communication. Sverre Riis Christensen has worked within market research in both Nielsen and TNS Gallup – where he is presently employed as an associate director with responsibility a.o. as a key competence person within the TNS Group’s proprietary research solutions. He has worked as an assistant professor at Copenhagen Business School, researching and teaching within the field of Marketing Communication.

MA (Oxford), MBA (Harvard). Adjunct Associate Professor of Strategic and International Management at London Business School and director of Ashridge Strategic Management Centre since 1991. Has worked with multi-business corporations, including the relationship between their strategy and organisational design, with particular emphasis on how globalisation, new technology and outsourcing affect strategy. Has previously worked in the world of finance with mergers and acquisitions and provided training to Boston Consulting Group in London, Australia, Europe and Boston. M.A. from Christ Church, Oxford, and M.B.A. ditto from Harvard Business School. Winner of London Business School’s Faculty Teaching Award in 2004. Co-author of the book “Corporate-Level Strategy: Creating Value in the Multibusiness Company” and contributor to other books.

Professor in Operations Management at Warwick Business School, UK. Prior to his academic career, Dr Johnston held several managerial positions as line manager and senior positions in private-sector and public-sector service enterprises. Dr Johnston has conducted research into aspects of operations management concerning service provision, particularly in the design of services, service improvement, performance measurement and quality. Dr Johnston has (co)-authored and edited more than 25 books, 40 reviewed articles, 60 case studies and 3 computer simulation programs.

Ph.D. (Production Strategy). Instructor in operations management for the MMT Program. Previously employed as a lecturer at DTU Business specializing in Production and Lean Management. Visiting scholar 1998-99 at Boston University and in 2002 at Ohio State University. Other work experience includes being a senior consultant with Implement Consulting Group in Lean and Service Operations Management and being Manufacturing Development Manager for Novenco, a medium sized manufacturing company. From 2010 working in Danske Bank in its back office function Retail & Logistics Services as Director for Service Operations Development. Co-author of the book "LEAN: implementering i danske virksomheder" (LEAN: Implementation in Danish Companies), published by Børsens Forlag, 2006.
