Corporate Entrepreneurship
At DTU and within the DTU Executive School of Business, we believe that corporations, their assets, resources and people are a rich and somewhat overlooked source of entrepreneurial new business creation. Download the CEL™ fact sheet here.
Corporate new businesses, like independent ones, often suffer from high mortality rates, even though corporations can potentially offer corporate entrepreneurs support and access to customers, brands, and distribution that independent entrepreneurs do not have.
The reason for high mortality rates in new corporate businesses is not a lack of quality of ideas or resources, but rather a lack of experienced corporate entrepreneurs working with highly uncertain business projects in corporate environments.
The Corporate Entrepreneurship programs at DTU Business address this shortcoming by informing, educating and training burgeoning corporate entrepreneurs and their corporate sponsors in the use of successful ideas and tools that corporate entrepreneurs accross many industries have found beneficial.
